Iveco Cursor engines have long been known for their exceptional efficiency, light weight and high specific power outputs. These characteristics have been further improved with the second generation Cursor engines that provide higher power ratings. The new-generation Cursor engines are more responsive, and interact to a higher degree with the EuroTronic II transmissions. Further improvements in the second-generation Cursor engines include new two-speed fans controlled by the multiplex system, cylinder head improvements and improved fuel filtration that increases service intervals and provides greater engine protection.
The Cursor engine's variable geometry turbocharger assists in delivering high torque across a wide range of engine speeds and works in harmony with the quietly efficient Iveco Turbo Brake.
